Newa sighed. There was no point in trying anymore. “Nii-chan….just….just….ugh!” She looked at the man, now named Tomoki. “Tomoki-san…..it’s nice to meet you then!” She held out her hand and smiled.
“I won’t do anything to you, I swear,” Tomoki said to the cat monster, flinching back a bit. He smiled at Newa, however, and offered a hand for her to shake. “It’s nice to meet you too.”
He frowned. He still didn’t trust him, but he was enjoying toying with Tomoki. This would be his revenge….letting this man live in constant fear. “I’m not the only one who wants to rip out your throat. You made a lot of people angry in your past life. You better use this one wisely and heal the wounds you left behind, because no one here is going to smile when they see you. You should have stayed dead.” He leaned against the nearest surface he could find and tapped his feet. He didn’t want to stay much longer.
She frowned again and punched Kazari in the gut. “Nii-chan, stop! If you keep being mean, I’m going to tell Grammu-chan!!” She sighed. “I don’t even like hitting you, Nii-chan!!” She turned back to Tomoki and took his hand, shaking it with both of hers. “I hope you can get those people to understand! they’re forgiving people…..they just need some time.”
Tomoki flinched back from Kazari once again. There was a sick feeling in his stomach as he tried to imagine just what he could have done before losing his memories to evoke such hate from the cat being. “Newa-san, can you tell me… what did I do? I don’t remember anything, I promise.”
